COMMUNITY ADVOCATE, FOUNDER & BOARD PRESIDENT

Jen is a passionate advocate whose identity is deeply intertwined with ConoSer's mission, reflecting her commitment to social justice, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation. With a degree is Animal Science and Psychology and Diploma in Social Innovation from the Univeristy for Peace in Costa Rica, Jen embodies a unique blend of academic and professional rigor and practical service-oriented ethos which has driven meaningful change in her professional career. Jen is so grateful that Costa Rica so freely welcomed her in, allowing her to become a partner, mom, community advocate, and educator since 2010.

COMMUNITY LEADER & BOARD VICE PRESIDENT

Rebecca is a proud Nosara native, mom, and business owner. She earned a degree in Psychology and now works in property management administration. She is fueled by a passion for preserving cultural authenticity and fostering meaningful experiences. Her dedication to excellence is defined by her professional journey and personal pursuits alike. Her passion is to work to improve Nosara.

COMMUNITY LEADER & BOARD FISCAL

Ileana is the newly elected Regidora en la Municipalidad de Nicoya and the secretary of the Asociacion del Adulto Mayores de Nosara. In addition, she is the Director of Vive El Sueno, a Nosara non-profit that offers entrepreneurial training for Nosarenos. She is a proud Nosara Native, a wife, a mother of three, and a grandmother. With her husband, they run five family businesses. She is honored to be a part of ConoSer, and knows the benefit that a community center will have on her community; for the non-profits, youth, families, entrepreneurs, and the culture.

COMMUNITY LEADER & BOARD TREASURER

With his family roots in Nicoya and Nosara Emmanuel has focused his time on leading both non-profit and public alliances with organizations for the betterment of the town. He is the director of Alianza para el Desarollo Comunitario, and a leader in water, education, regenerative growth, tax research, and finances.

COMMUNITY ADVOCATE & BOARD SECRETARY

Since 2006, Scout’s projects in music, academics & the arts for children & teens living in poverty have reached Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico & Colombia. She has inspired countless language learners, and her skills in Spanish led her to translate for the Embassy of Peru in Mexico City. She currently works uniting Spanish & English speakers in Nosara through language exchange classes. Scout fell in love with the waves and culture of Nosara, and works daily as a catalyst for cultural preservation and connection.

HEAD OF FUNDRAISING & BOARD VOCAL

Dana is a leading voice in philanthropic impact and an expert in strategy and consulting. She is a certified clinical hypnotherapist and supports those embarking on paths toward authentic peace and purpose. She has contributed significantly to the charitable sector for over two decades.

HEAD OF SUSTAINABILITY AND NON-PROFIT & BOARD VOCAL

Lise Melvin is a global leader in sustainability and non-profit strategy and growth. She has worked for 20 years on environmental and social justice, internationally, with civil society, government, and business. She was the founding CEO of the Better Cotton Initiative, advised the United Nations Development program for 8 years, is a somatic coach, and is the Executive Director of the Strozzi Institute. She has worked with a wide range of people on strategy, collaboration, and systemic approaches to change. She has a Master’s degree in Responsibility in Business Practice and has studied the Vedas, compassionate communication, deep ecology, systems change, and the embodied path of transformation.

HEAD OF SOCIAL MEDIA & BOARD VOCAL

Jess Rodriguez is a Brand Strategist who supports entrepreneurs create impact-driven businesses from their core values and authentic expression. Her passion for impact is reflected in her years of activism for wildlife conservation and environmental regeneration, which she inspires business owners to incorporate as part of their purpose as well.

MEMBER, COMMUNITY LEADER OF MUSIC TRADITION

If it involves traditional music, Alvaro will be involved. A Nicoya native who has lived for 10 years in Nosara, Alvaro hold a license in music education. He works in CTP CORRALILLO, Colegio Bocas de Nosara, CINDEA Nosara, and ELIMAR high school. He also teaches private lessons of marimba, guitar, drums, and ukele and can be seen playing LIVE with a local marimba group. In our annual holiday parades, Alvaro and his students are guaranteed to be one of the best performances!

MEMBER, COMMUNITY ADVOCATE, & LONGTIME NOSARA RESIDENT

Michael is an artist who fell in love with Nosara in 1989 and has lived full-time in Nosara as of 2009. He was instrumental in the creation of La Feria, Nosara’s Saturday market, and currently manages the social media sites: Nosara News, Nosara Community Events, and Nosara Recommends. He’s living his dream and works to maintain the soul of Nosara.
